    Fitness Steps to SuccessI love this book! I wish it had been available years ago when i began my own journey to fitness. If it had, I know I would have arrived much sooner to a better state of fitness. As it was, I wandered around in different programs that emphasized one or sometimes two main aspects of fitness and I never arrived at a feeling of completeness. Fitness Steps to Success offers clear concise directions for reaching results.If you don’t use a trainer, this is a very good alternative! And if you do have a trainer this is like a collection of notes to be used when you are working on your own. This book contains all the foundational pieces that you would be paying a good trainer to teach you. Actually this book is complete enough to be used as a text book in a basic trainer’s instruction program.For beginners the pictures and descriptions of exercises are excellent and include the essentials of posture and breath. For intermediate fitness fans these exercises include a progressive plan for a well balanced or well rounded approach which includes strength, balance, flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning. Many people tend to focus on only one or two of these areas and come up lacking in complete health and reaching the fuller potentials that fitness has to offer at every level of being. And finally, for those advanced in all of these health arenas it opens up the next stage for completion of fitness: the teaching of others…….as one really “owns” a body of work when they teach it or share it with others.I especially enjoyed the chapter on behavior change which describes the stages we all pass through whenever we attempt yet again to change an unhealthy behavior. Then simple strategies for changing behavior guide you from where you are to where you know you are a changed person.
